A Hong Kong secondary school will review its principal’s conduct after he swore at security guards during a student trip to Singapore. School manager Edmund Wong Chun-sek said an investigation will take place but added it is too early to decide on disciplinary action.
The manager of San Wui Commercial Society Secondary School in Tuen Mun, Edmund Wong Chun-sek, said the school sponsoring body and the whole school will cooperate with the Education Bureau.
The incident took place on the third day of the trip and was captured in a viral video under a minute long. Wong noted that the school board does not wish to jump to conclusions based on the short clip.
Wong added that the school wants to ensure students on the trip were not affected by the event. When asked about possible disciplinary action or dismissal of principal Lee Cheuk-hing, he said it was too early to tell.
