A 16-year-old student is in critical condition after falling through a classroom window at Tuen Mun Government Secondary School on Friday. Police suspect he was accidentally knocked down by a classmate while climbing through the window.
The incident occurred shortly before 3pm on Friday when students were returning to classrooms to collect their bags. The boy attempted to climb through a window because the doorway was blocked. A 14-year-old classmate accidentally knocked him from behind, causing the fall.
The boy was taken to Tuen Mun Hospital. The Hospital Authority confirmed on Saturday that he remained in critical condition with a suspected brain haemorrhage.
The Education Bureau stated it was deeply concerned about the incident and that the school would support the boy's parents and other students. Police are investigating the case as a suspected wounding.
