Sony Pictures has acquired the action-thriller project Renegades with Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley attached to direct.
The studio landed the short story by Will Simmons, who will adapt it for the screen. Plot details remain under wraps.
Hutch Parker is set to produce alongside Dan Wilson through Hutch Parker Entertainment. Kevin Vafi brought the project to the studio and attached Goldstein and Daley, who will also produce via their GoldDay banner. Sara Smith is overseeing for GoldDay while Brittany Morrissey serves as the executive at Sony and Columbia.
Goldstein and Daley are known for directing Mayday and writing Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. They are currently developing the next Star Trek film at Paramount.
