Director Michael Bay is working with Universal Pictures on a new movie about two U.S. pilots rescued from Iran during Operation Epic Fury. The project draws from a forthcoming book by Mitchell Zuckoff.
Michael Bay is teaming with writer Scott Gardenhour and producer Erwin Stoff on the film. Both previously worked with Bay on the 2016 military drama 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Gardenhour is adapting the script from Zuckoff’s book, which HarperCollins plans to publish in 2027. Bay and Stoff will produce the project.
