Le réalisateur Michael Bay collabore avec Universal Pictures sur un nouveau film concernant deux pilotes américains secourus en Iran lors de l'opération Epic Fury. Le projet s'inspire d'un livre à paraître de Mitchell Zuckoff.

Michael Bay s'associe à l'écrivain Scott Gardenhour et au producteur Erwin Stoff pour ce film. Tous deux avaient déjà travaillé avec Bay sur le drame militaire 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi en 2016. Gardenhour adapte le scénario à partir du livre de Zuckoff, que HarperCollins prévoit de publier en 2027. Bay et Stoff produiront le projet.
