Kalmar HC announced changes to its leadership structure ahead of the new season. Sportchef Daniel Stolt advances to general manager, while Jarkko Oikarinen takes over as sportchef. The club also recruited Christian Widéen from rival Vimmerby to bolster its sports group.
Kalmar HC is undergoing organizational changes in both club management and sports leadership. Club manager Marcus San Pedro is leaving the club, prompting a new structure. Daniel Stolt, previously the sportchef, steps into the role of general manager and klubbchef. Jarkko Oikarinen, formerly assistant sportchef, becomes the new sportchef and junior manager. The organization gains reinforcements on the market and youth sides as well. Christian Widéen joins the sports group after years in the same role at Vimmerby HC. He will focus on team building and scouting for the upcoming season. “It’s nothing dramatic really. Jarkko got in touch and wanted a meeting, and that’s how it happened. It feels fun and developmental to take this step. It’s easy to become home blind and I hope to contribute new input and new eyes,” Widéen said. Kalmar HC finished second in the Hockeyallsvenskan regular season with 100 points but exited in the quarterfinals.
