Kanye West, now known as Ye, performed on Thursday at Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium before about 65,000 people. The show, which lasted around 100 minutes, mixed nostalgic moments with an original yet uneven stage setup.
The rapper climbed onto a stage shaped like a giant half-sphere representing a globe. From there he performed tracks including Black Skinhead, Power, Jesus Walks and Runaway, among others from his early albums.
The audience paid between 190 and 600 euros per ticket. Many songs were offered in short two-minute versions and the music was pre-recorded.
West has cancelled concerts in several European countries over his previous antisemitic comments. The show included lights, lasers and fireworks, although the artist did not speak between songs.
