It expects showers and thunderstorms in parts of Western Kenya, the Lake Victoria basin and the Rift Valley, including Kisumu and Nakuru counties, on Saturday afternoon. Central Kenya counties such as Nairobi, Kiambu and Nyeri will see cloudy mornings with afternoon and night showers.
At the coast, including Mombasa and Kilifi, light showers are likely on Saturday morning followed by sunny intervals. Dry and sunny weather is forecast for north-eastern and south-eastern lowlands such as Turkana and Garissa.
Night temperatures in highland areas including Nyandarua, Nairobi and Nakuru may drop to between 7°C and 13°C. Daytime temperatures along the coast and in northern regions could reach 30°C. Residents are advised to dress warmly during cold mornings and nights.
