Hideo Kojima has released a new screenshot from his upcoming horror game OD. The image shows a yellow hallway with an old television and a figure visible in a doorway.
Kojima provided the image during an interview for an Xbox 25th anniversary feature. He said he pitched the project to multiple companies before Phil Spencer approved it for Xbox.
"I pitched to many people, to the big companies, and also to the up-and-coming companies," Kojima said. "All of them said the same thing. They said that I’m crazy, and that they really don’t understand the concept."
The game is described as a single-player title focused on extreme fear. Kojima noted a system that would allow players to continue if the content becomes too intense, though he provided no further details.
OD stars Sophia Lillis and Hunter Schafer. Jordan Peele is also involved in its creation. No release date has been announced.
