Michael Lindqvist has joined Finnish champions Tappara after leaving Leksand following their relegation. The 31-year-old forward signed a contract for the upcoming season, ending speculation that included interest from Örebro.
The move comes after Lindqvist spent one season with Leksand in the SHL. He recorded 25 points in 31 games during that campaign. Previously he played eight seasons with Färjestad before transferring to Leksand last year. Earlier reports had linked him to Örebro Hockey, but he ultimately chose to continue his career in Finland's Liiga with the reigning champions.
