A 33-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly stabbing a group home employee to death in Cold Spring, Minnesota. The attack occurred on Saturday evening.
Luke McLane is in custody at the Stearns County Jail on charges of second-degree murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. Police responded to calls about a stabbing at the St. Luke Home around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Witnesses told officers that McLane chased 30-year-old Glapoujay Garmondeh outside the home. McLane then got on top of the victim and shouted, "I'm going to kill you." Officers arrived at the end of the attack and saw McLane with blood on his clothes while holding a knife.
Garmondeh was found with a stab wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. McLane reportedly told the victim, "I told you I was gonna do it." He is being held without bail.
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud, which operates the home, said staff members were deeply saddened by the loss of their colleague.
