Moderates open to governing with SD in Dalarna

The Moderates in Region Dalarna presented a budget alternative yesterday ahead of the autumn election. The party opens the door to cooperation with the Sweden Democrats and other parties if moderate policies gain traction.

The budget proposal covers 2027 and the entire next mandate period. The Moderates want to increase accessibility in healthcare, make public transport more flexible, strengthen business and broaden funding for culture.

Special focus is placed on reducing mental health problems and shortening care queues at Falu hospital. Improvements are also proposed for hospitals in Ludvika, Mora and Avesta.

– We do not enter a majority without moderate policies. If our proposals gain support we can join the majority, otherwise we will be in opposition, says Ulf Berg.

The party stresses that it will not enter any majority without backing for its policies.
