A panel of NFL Network analysts expects the Pittsburgh Steelers to finish with a losing record in the upcoming season. Five of the seven analysts forecast records under .500 despite the team's recent success.
The analysts released their predictions on July 12. Last season the Steelers finished 10-7 and won the AFC North. They re-signed quarterback Aaron Rodgers and hired Mike McCarthy as head coach.
Colleen Wolfe, Nick Shook, Lance Zierlein, Dan Parr and Brooke Cerosimo each project a losing record. Cerosimo forecasts the lowest mark at 6-11 while Wolfe, Zierlein and Parr predict 7-10. Shook expects 8-9.
Bucky Brooks and Grant Gordon are the only analysts forecasting a 10-7 finish. The panel cited an aging defense and the transition to a new coaching staff as factors in their outlook.
