Spanish golfer Pablo Larrazabal described intense shaking during his second round at the KLM Open after missing eight straight cuts.
Larrazabal shot a 73 on Friday to stand at two over par after 36 holes at the International golf course in Amsterdam. He had reached three under par midway through the round before double bogeys on the third and fifth holes and a closing bogey. The 43-year-old said thoughts of the cut line and supporting his family caused him to shake on the greens. “I start shaking,” he said after missing several short putts. “This is how tough is this game and how ugly it gets sometimes.” Larrazabal noted his last made cut came in Qatar in early February. The second round was postponed until Saturday, leaving him two strokes outside the projected cut line. He expressed hope that wind conditions on Saturday would allow him to play the weekend and said his long game is currently the best it has been in his career.
