Brian Clarke has confirmed that work on the licensed Paranormal Activity game Paranormal Activity: Threshold is over. The solo developer behind The Mortuary Assistant sought more time from Paramount but the request was denied.
Clarke explained in an email to Eurogamer that he could not meet a planned Q4 2026 release window. He chose to part ways with the publisher rather than rush an unfinished project. The game was announced in 2024 and shown in a found-footage style trailer that suggested gameplay similar to a single-player version of Phasmophobia.
