Phoebe Bridgers’ Saddest Factory imprint is returning to its parent label Dead Oceans following a trademark dispute.
A statement posted to Instagram on June 14 said all future releases by Saddest Factory artists will now come out through Dead Oceans. The imprint, started in 2020, had previously issued records by several acts.
The announcement offered no details on the origins of the trademark dispute. A separate duo named Saddest Factory is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Artists associated with the imprint include Claud, Sloppy Jane, Charlie Hickey, Muna, Katie Gavin, and Jasmine.4.T.
