Photographer Ana Paula Silveira Cardoso went missing on Saturday afternoon, July 25, after losing her balance while crossing a river with a support rope at Salto das Orquídeas in Sapopema, about 120 kilometers from Londrina.
Her friend Ana Carolina Camilo was found on Sunday morning by local owners and taken to the hospital, where she is well. Searches for Ana Paula involve about 30 firefighters and volunteers, using drones, in two fronts along the river.
The Fire Department halted searches at 6 p.m. on Sunday and resumed them on Monday morning. According to the department's note, the two proceeded alone after a section with a guide.
The site's administration expressed solidarity with Ana Paula's family and friends.
