PhotoVogue Festival presents 'Women by Women' exhibition in Seoul

The PhotoVogue Festival is bringing its 'Women by Women' exhibition to Seoul as part of Vogue Korea's third annual Leaders event. The exhibition, marking the festival's 10th anniversary, opens alongside talks on women's agency from March 27 to 29 at Layer Studio 20 in Yongsan-gu. It features works from 9,500 artists across 149 countries who responded to a global open call.

Vogue Korea is hosting its Leaders event from March 27 to 29 at Layer Studio 20 on Wonhyo-ro in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This year's theme, Agency, builds on previous editions: 'Woman Now' in 2024 focused on female solidarity, and 'Women and Work' in 2025 highlighted working women. The March issue of Vogue Korea includes editorial spreads and interviews with 17 prominent Korean women, such as fashion designer Nora Noh, film directors, actresses, K-pop musicians, and models. Their stories explore personal choices and sacrifices, appearing both in print, digital editions, and at the venue. On March 28 and 29, eight women leaders will participate in talk sessions sharing their experiences. Complementing these is the PhotoVogue exhibition 'Women by Women,' developed by Vogue editions worldwide to nurture emerging photographers. It debuted in Milan from March 1 to 4 during the 10th PhotoVogue Festival, following a record open call that drew nearly 100,000 works from 9,500 artists in 149 countries. Themes ranged from identity and fashion to violence and resistance, emphasizing self-directed narratives through photography and video. Alessia Glaviano, Global Head of PhotoVogue and Director of the PhotoVogue Festival, stated: “expression is never neutral, and who makes the image still matters.” Shin Kwang-ho, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Korea, called it “a sharing of Vogue Korea’s inclusivity and diversity—in honor, one might say, of the women of humanity.” The exhibition runs March 28 and 29 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with free admission and no reservation required.
