The Egypt Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre held the first session of the Business Clinic initiative under the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
The meeting was attended by Sherif Abdel Hamid, adviser to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Heba Zaki, Director of the Egypt Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre, and representatives from the Egyptian Tax Authority, GAFI, and the Industrial Development Authority. Ahmed Rostom, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed that the Business Clinic provides direct communication channels between startups and government entities.
Heba Zaki noted that the meetings will be held regularly to discuss operational and regulatory challenges. Startup founders raised enquiries about incorporation, licensing, taxes, and expansion.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to support Egypt’s entrepreneurship ecosystem in line with the Startup Charter and Egypt Vision 2030.
