A polar air mass brings subzero temperatures and alerts across much of the country on Saturday, July 4. The National Meteorological Service maintains yellow and orange warnings due to health risks.
The polar wave affecting Argentina intensified the cold this Saturday. In the City of Buenos Aires the minimum reached -1°C and in parts of the suburbs values close to -5°C were recorded with strong frosts.
The National Meteorological Service issued an orange alert for broad sectors of Buenos Aires and Córdoba. A yellow alert is in effect in the AMBA, the City of Buenos Aires and provinces such as Salta, Catamarca, Tucumán, Santa Fe and Neuquén.
Unusual snowfalls were reported in several regions. Health authorities recommended avoiding prolonged exposure to the cold and paying attention to children and older adults.
