Police raided a grocery stall in Kalideres, West Jakarta, suspected of selling illegal prescription drugs. Two suspects were arrested and hundreds of pills seized. The raid took place on Saturday (2/5) following community reports.
Police raided a stall disguised as a grocery shop at Jalan Gagak RT 07/RW 08 Semanan, Kalideres, West Jakarta. The location is in front of a railway crossing gate. The raid occurred on Saturday (2/5), as confirmed by Kalideres Police Chief Kompol Rihold Sihotang on Sunday (3/5).
Two suspects with initials ZF (26) and MA (22) were arrested on site. Officers seized hundreds of prescription drug pills of various types suspected to be ready for illegal distribution.
Kalideres Police Chief Kompol Rihold Sihotang said the raid stemmed from community concerns over suspicious sales of drugs without permits. Kalideres Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKP Rachmad Wibowo added that the bust aims to curb the circulation of unlicensed drugs that endanger the public.
"We thank the brave residents who reported it. This proves the importance of collaboration between the community and police in maintaining environmental security," AKP Rachmad Wibowo stated.
