The Senate has announced that the public can attend Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial starting July 6, with limited seating available.
In an advisory issued on July 2, the Senate allocated 61 seats to members of the public for each day of the trial. Those who wish to attend may register online through the Senate Visitor Management System.
Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis according to the order of successful registration. Registration opens to the public at 2 pm one day before the scheduled trial date.
"Everyone is expected to maintain proper decorum at all times and comply with all rules and regulations while inside the Senate premises," Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. said.
