The Texas Rangers overcame a late collapse by their bullpen to defeat the Kansas City Royals 7-6 on Saturday afternoon in Arlington. Ezequiel Duran delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Kumar Rocker pitched six scoreless innings and allowed the Rangers to build a three-run lead. The bullpen then surrendered six runs over the seventh and eighth innings, including a two-run homer by Carter Jensen off Chris Martin.
