Sammy Hagar has invited David Lee Roth to join his Las Vegas residency after Roth canceled most of his upcoming tour dates.
Sammy Hagar posted a video message on social media on July 24 expressing support for Roth following the cancellation of the majority of Roth's North American tour dates. Roth's tour, which began in April, had only one remaining confirmed show at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota on Aug. 7.
In the video, Hagar said he hoped Roth was well and offered an invitation to appear as a guest during Hagar's upcoming residency. "Come to Vegas for the residency in September. Come on, join us. Sing a couple songs, MC the damn show," Hagar said.
Hagar's Best of All Worlds residency is scheduled to run from Sept. 18 to Sept. 26 at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. The two former Van Halen frontmen have a history of rivalry, though Hagar noted his support for keeping the band's music alive through live performances.
