Scottie Scheffler shoots 65 in 3M Open debut

Scottie Scheffler carded a six-under 65 in the first round of the 2026 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn., on Thursday.

Scheffler made six birdies without a bogey and finished first in strokes gained putting. He hit 10 fairways and 15 greens in regulation during his debut at the event.

The world No. 1 started on the back nine and converted several putts, including a 28-footer on the par-3 fourth hole. "It was a lot of fun," Scheffler said. "The crowd support for all three of us in the group today was really nice."

Ben Kohles later posted a 62 to claim the first-round lead. Scheffler is scheduled to tee off at 1:44 p.m. ET on Friday alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im for the second round.
