Sd substitute unni björnerfors spreads vaccine misinformation

Sweden Democrat Unni Björnerfors returns to parliament as a substitute and has spread claims on social media that covid vaccines are a "deadly poison" and genocide. The party calls her posts sleazy and silly. She is replacing Angelika Bengtsson during parental leave.

Unni Björnerfors, a long-time local politician for the Sweden Democrats, has previously served in parliament as a substitute. She is now stepping in for Angelika Bengtsson (SD), who is on parental leave. During her time away from parliament, Björnerfors has been active on social media under the hashtag #nejtillvax, sharing incorrect claims about covid vaccines.

In October, she shared a post claiming the vaccines were created "to kill and reduce fertility." She commented herself: "Folkmord" (Genocide). She has also called it the "elephant in the room" that the vaccines have led to increased infertility in men. Other shared posts describe the pandemic as an "experiment" and mass vaccinations as "worse than several world wars."

On a post claiming vaccines are dangerous for children, Björnerfors wrote: "Ta inte död på våra barn" (Don't kill our children), "mördare" (murderers), and "svin" (pigs). She also agreed with a comment distrusting SD members, saying: "Inte jag heller, jag hoppar bara in." (Not me either, I'm just stepping in.)

The Sweden Democrats' press service comments: "They do not reflect the party's policy either, which we have pointed out to her. We have also urged her to be careful about what she writes and shares on social media. We expect her to adhere to this during the relatively short time she is substituting for the regular member in parliament." The party calls the posts "sjaskiga och tramsiga" (sleazy and silly).

Expressen previously reported that Björnerfors appeared in the parliamentary chamber during a covid vaccine debate last year without authorization. Expressen has sought comment from Björnerfors.
