Crunchyroll and Aniplex have announced that the theatrical anime film Solo Leveling: Beyond the System is now in production. The project picks up directly after the events of Season 2.

Crunchyroll and Aniplex unveiled the news on July 3. The film is animated by A-1 Pictures and produced by Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, Kakao Piccoma and Crunchyroll.

Further plot details remain under wraps. The story follows Sung Jinwoo, who gains the ability to level up in a world of gates and hunters.

The original web novel launched in 2016. The anime series debuted in January 2024, with Season 2 following a year later.
