Train traffic was halted and Triangelns station in central Malmö was evacuated on Friday evening after a suspicious dangerous object was discovered. Police later determined that the object was harmless.
The alarm came just before 9 p.m. on Friday. A security guard had spotted the object near the tracks which led to the station being evacuated and cordoned off. Police spokesperson Evelina Olsson said the placement and the object raised questions which prompted an examination. Just over half an hour later police could confirm that it posed no danger. Olsson mentioned that the object may have been left behind after work at the station during the night. The cordons were then lifted and trains could once again run normally through Triangeln.
