Medina County Sheriff's Office has charged Cassandra Lange, 29, and Joby Williams, 30, with capital murder in the deaths of Cherry Rehbein, 54, and her husband Stephen Rehbein, 58. Lange, Cherry's biological daughter and Stephen's stepdaughter, confessed to the killings alongside Williams after they were stopped in a vehicle with two children. The bodies were found in garbage bags in a ravine near Medina Lake.
On Friday, the Medina County Sheriff's Office announced the charges against Lange and Williams, who are being held on $1 million surety bonds. Investigators believe the couple killed Cherry Rehbein at her home on the 3300 block of County Road 265 in Mico, Texas, on Monday. When Stephen Rehbein returned from work that day, he too was murdered, according to Medina County Sheriff Randy Brown, who spoke to KSAT.
