Thom Browne presented his spring 2027 menswear collection yesterday in the courtyard of Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan. The show combined elements from A Bug’s Life and the tale of the prince and the frog amid extreme heat.
The event marked Browne’s first solo menswear show since spring 2023 and his first Thom Browne presentation in Milan. He appeared for his bow wearing a netted bouclé frog mask.
The collection centered on structured tailoring in fabrics such as madras, seersucker, and poplin. Insect-themed embroidery featured spiders, bees, dragonflies, and gold-leaf beehives, set against a backdrop of 500 seersucker potted rose bushes.
Browne described the designs as a return to his core menswear principles of structured tailoring and outerwear. The show took place during temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius.
