TNA Wrestling plans to include a member of its Hall of Fame in a role at the Slammiversary 2026 pay-per-view this weekend. Separately, a deal to sign former WWE writer 'Road Dogg' Brian James is reported to be 99 percent complete.
PWInsider reported on June 23 that TNA is bringing in an unnamed Hall of Famer following a creative pitch. The individual's identity and specific role at the event remain undisclosed.
The same outlet stated that a TNA source described the agreement with Brian James as “99% there.” James, who left WWE in March 2026, is expected to attend the June 28 show.
Slammiversary 2026 is scheduled to feature title matches including Mike Santana defending the TNA World Heavyweight Championship against Nic Nemeth. The event will also include an open challenge for the International Championship.
TNA and WWE maintain a talent exchange partnership announced in October 2025 that has allowed cross-promotional appearances between the two companies.
