Willow Nightingale will defend the AEW Women's World Championship against Mercedes Mone at AEW All In London 2026 after signing the contract on the July 29 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The matchup at Wembley Stadium follows a complicated path to finalization. Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the original plan called for the roles reversed, with Mercedes Mone as champion facing Nightingale.
Tony Khan adjusted the booking after multiple near-spoilers to reach the desired contest. Alvarez and Dave Meltzer both recommended keeping the title on Nightingale based on her recent reception.
Nightingale and Mone have met three times in the past three years, with Nightingale securing two victories and Mone one. Two of those bouts occurred in AEW.
