Zaria defeated Tatum Paxley to win the NXT Women’s North American Championship in a prior match. On the June 23 broadcast, Zaria issued a video challenge granting Paxley a rematch at the Great American Bash on June 28.
The updated card for the event includes NXT Championship matches with Tony D’Angelo defending against Naraku and Lola Vice facing Kendal Grey for the NXT Women’s Championship. Additional bouts feature Myles Borne against Tavion Heights, Saquon Shugars versus Dion Lennox, and Wren Sinclair defending the WWE Women’s Speed Championship.
In the June 23 main event, Aaron Rourke retained the Evolve Championship against Tristan Angels after a distraction involving Shiloh Hill’s laugh allowed Rourke to hit the Molly-Go-Round for the pin. Hill later challenged Angels to a match at the Great American Bash, citing unfinished business from the Mr. NXT pageant.
Friday Night SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett joined Vic Joseph on the broadcast from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The episode also featured contract signings and other matches building toward the June 28 show.
