ABBA Voyage reaches four million visitors milestone

ABBA's Voyage live show has welcomed its four millionth visitor since launching in 2022. The digital concert residency at the ABBA Arena in East London has drawn fans from around the world. The band described the achievement as an incredible testament to their supporters.

ABBA announced that their groundbreaking Voyage show, featuring digital CGI avatars of the band's four members, has now reached four million visitors. The residency, which began in 2022 at the purpose-built ABBA Arena near Pudding Mill Lane in East London, hit the one million mark in April 2023 and has since quadrupled that figure as of this weekend. Over 1,415 concerts have been performed, with audiences collectively spending more than 141,500 hours there, including 4,800 minutes of 'Dancing Queen' alone. The live drummer has burned 700 calories per night across thousands of shows, and there have been 7,075 costume changes in total. More than five million journeys have been made on the DLR train service to the venue, with visitors traveling from as far as Dunedin, New Zealand—11,873 miles away. ABBA stated: “Reaching four million visitors is an incredible milestone for ABBA Voyage, and a testament to the fans who have travelled from across the world to be part of this experience. From those visiting for the first time to the many who return again and again, it’s their energy and passion that bring the concert to life every night. To see audiences continue to embrace the concert and the joy of our music is truly special.” In a 2023 interview, band member Björn Ulvaeus told NME: “It’s amazing – it has surpassed any dream I could have ever had.” He added that discussions are underway for potential expansions to Asia, Australia, and North America, with announcements expected by year's end or early next year.
