Billy Idol and Steve Stevens inducted into Hollywood RockWalk

Billy Idol and guitarist Steve Stevens were inducted into the Hollywood RockWalk on June 23 at Guitar Center’s Hollywood location.

The ceremony took place on Sunset Boulevard and was hosted by radio personality Richard Blade. Idol and Stevens marked the occasion with a handprint ceremony, joining more than 150 artists previously honored since the RockWalk began in 1985.

Idol said, “I’ve had a fantastic time with Steve, he’s made a lot of my crazy ideas come true.” Stevens added that the honor reflects “over 45 years of great laughs, great songs that now belong to the world, and a great friendship.”

Gabe Dalporto, CEO of Guitar Center, noted that the RockWalk honors artists who leave a lasting mark on music culture. The induction comes months before Idol and Stevens are scheduled to join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
