Influencer and presenter Cariúcha, known for hosting the Fofocalizando program on SBT, notified the network of her decision not to extend her professional contract. The communication took place during a meeting on January 26, 2025, with Mauro Lissoni, the channel's Programming and Artistic Director, as revealed by columnist Flávio Ricco. The current contract runs until February, and Cariúcha will serve her one-month notice period, remaining with the network until the end.
The departure was not sudden. Throughout 2024, the communicator requested resignation at least three times as a strategy to renegotiate her salary, which is R$ 25,000 fixed and can reach R$ 60,000 with merchandising. Behind the scenes, she mentioned varied possible destinations: to some, Band; to others, Record. However, Record denied any negotiations. Recently, speculation grew that Cariúcha would take over Superpop on RedeTV, a program Luciana Gimenez hosted for 25 years before leaving.
SBT is seeking to renew the contract, according to sources. Cariúcha, who has an offer from another network, has not commented publicly on the reasons for the decision or future plans.
