inXile Entertainment revealed new details for Clockwork Revolution during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7. The steampunk action RPG will launch in 2027 as an Xbox console exclusive and is also coming to PC.
The trailer showcased gameplay focused on a heist mission gone wrong in the industrial city of Avalon. Players control the customizable character Morgan Vanette alongside a robotic companion named Prentice and use a device called the Chronometer to manipulate time. Game director Chad Moore stated that time-bending powers like Displace will alter the environment and directly impact allies and narrative outcomes across playthroughs. The game features a main antagonist in Lady Ironwood and draws comparisons to BioShock with its immersive sim elements. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma highlighted a return to platform exclusivity with this title, the second such announcement of the evening after Gears of War: E-Day. inXile has promised additional information later in the year ahead of the 2027 release.
