Behaviour Interactive announced several major updates for Dead by Daylight during its 10th anniversary broadcast. The plans include official modding tools arriving in 2027 and a visual overhaul with dynamic weather. A live-action film adaptation also gained a director.
During the recent 10th anniversary broadcast, Behaviour Interactive confirmed official modding support for user-made maps and modes will arrive in 2027. The studio also detailed a visual refresh for the game, including dynamic weather effects.
Other reveals included the addition of Jason from Friday the 13th, a new original chapter called The Life Road due later this month, and Art the Clown from Terrifier set for November. A new map based on liminal spaces is expected after December.
On the film side, Thordur Palsson was named director of the live-action adaptation. Filming is scheduled to begin in 2027, with iconic locations such as The MacMillan Estate and Greenville appearing in the movie. Blumhouse and Atomic Monster are producing the project alongside Behaviour Interactive.
