She said all agencies have been directed to ensure a thorough investigation based on facts and evidence. The death toll rose to 22 on Saturday after another foreign national succumbed to injuries. The fire broke out on June 3 at the Flourish Stay bed-and-breakfast facility in South Delhi. Police arrested owner Lavkesh Bajaj hours after the incident and cook Keshav Negi on June 6. Gupta also highlighted ongoing action against illegal constructions. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi sealed 12 buildings on Sunday as part of inspections across the capital. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed the assurance of a fair inquiry. He had spoken to Gupta after the arrest of Negi, a resident of Uttarakhand.
