Two Illinois teenagers have been arrested in connection with the fatal shootings of five relatives in East St. Louis. The victims were all related to the 15-year-old female suspect.
Illinois State Police arrested 16-year-old Ja'Ymier Davis and an unnamed 15-year-old girl. Authorities found the bodies of five victims at three separate locations on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Cherie May, Shania Thompson, Devin May, Quentin Thompson and Patricia May. Two other relatives were wounded but are expected to survive.
Davis faces adult charges including five counts of first-degree murder. The girl remains in juvenile custody while prosecutors seek to charge her as an adult.
Lamarion Smiley, a relative of one survivor, told KSDK the couple had been in a relationship opposed by the family and had made a list of targets on Instagram.
