Dr Any Setianingrum from Universitas YARSI presented a paper on redistribution as Islamic economic governance at the SASE 2026 conference in France.
The paper titled Redistribution as Governance: An Islamic Framework for Sustainable Public Treasury offers a financial architecture that optimizes productive assets, zakat, and wakaf. The model aims to reduce a country's reliance on debt.
Any stressed that redistribution must serve as a key governance indicator, not merely a social activity. She also suggested using AI to enhance transparency and detect corruption.
The SASE 2026 conference in France brought together academics from over 50 countries. Only 45 percent of papers were selected, including contributions from Universitas YARSI, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gadjah Mada, and Institut Teknologi Bandung.
