Indonesia national team coach John Herdman expressed disappointment that several foreign clubs have declined to release their players for the training camp in Bali ahead of the ASEAN Championship 2026.
Indonesia's national team training camp in Bali continues as preparation for the ASEAN Championship 2026. Coach John Herdman had called up 50 players, most from the domestic league.
Herdman said some clubs chose to keep players during preseason. "I am a little disappointed because some foreign clubs are not willing to release their players," he said.
Mitchell Baker, who was naturalized on July 13 2026, has joined the camp. Meanwhile Luke Vickery was unable to attend after his club Macarthur FC withheld permission.
