New York Mets infielder Jorge Polanco hit a home run and played first base during his rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton over the weekend.
Polanco, who has been sidelined since April 18 with left Achilles bursitis and a right wrist contusion, is three games into his rehab stint. He went 2-for-5 with a homer, two walks and three strikeouts across those contests, including a solo shot in Friday's 5-4 win over Portland. He has yet to play a full game, exiting early in each outing so far.
