KISS members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley revealed plans for their band's digital avatar performances during an interview with Pollstar Magazine. The shows are tentatively set to debut in Las Vegas in 2028, marking Pophouse Entertainment's first production in the US. Pophouse oversees the technology behind ABBA's successful Voyage avatar show in London. The avatars will embody the band's iconic personas, including the Demon and Starchild, with Simmons noting flexibility in the lineup: “It’s going to be the iconic face personas, the Demon, the Starchild and so on. Who you want to place into that line-up is up to you.” Stanley described the setlist as including “all the classics through the years and some surprises,” while Simmons added that it will feature “new songs” written by the band. This follows the band's farewell tour finale at Madison Square Garden in December 2023, where holograms first appeared, performing ‘God Gave Rock And Roll To You’. Simmons then mentioned an investment of “about 200 million” dollars to improve the avatars after initial mixed reactions. An early teaser hinted at a 2027 launch, but the timeline has shifted slightly. In November 2024, Stanley likened the production to “Cirque Du Soleil meets Star Wars and a KISS concert,” emphasizing that the avatars will appear “identical” to the band members.
