Designer Horiuchi presented the Kolor Spring 2027 menswear collection on June 27 with a focus on themes of loneliness and extraterrestrial imitation.
The show featured business suits and pinstriped tailoring altered with extra buttons, colorful waistbands, and skewed necklines. Models wore black sclera lenses and coats printed with fur images as colors shifted to bold Martian green.
Horiuchi drew references from The X-Files, David Bowie, and Andy Warhol. Collaborators included the band Mong Tong for music, artist Klaus Schmidt for textiles, and painter Yang Bo for graphics.
After the presentation Horiuchi said the collection addressed imitating humans in daily life. A press note added that science fiction explores curiosity toward the unknown and the capacity to understand what differs from oneself.
A fellow editor described the collection as his best yet.
