The Directorate of Registration and Identification of Korlantas Polri has introduced SINAR and SIGNAL innovations as evidence of public service transformation. These apps enable online SIM renewals and vehicle tax payments, supporting Polri's precise vision. Brigjen Pol. Wibowo emphasized this commitment to efficient and transparent services.
In Jakarta, Brigjen Pol. Wibowo from the Directorate of Registration and Identification (Ditregident) of Korlantas Polri stated that SINAR (SIM Nasional Presisi) and SIGNAL (Samsat Digital Nasional) represent concrete evidence of Polri's digital transformation. This statement was made on Tuesday (11/11/2025), aligning with Kapolri General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo's policy toward a precise institution: predictive, responsible, and transparently just.
"We aim to provide public services that are easier to access, efficient, and free from illegal levies. Digitalization through SINAR and SIGNAL is real proof of Polri's commitment to delivering precise services oriented toward public satisfaction," said Wibowo.
Through SINAR, the public can renew SIM A and SIM C online without queuing at Satpas. The process includes registration, health checks, digital payments, and SIM delivery to homes via postal service. Meanwhile, SIGNAL facilitates online motor vehicle tax payments, integrating Polri's systems, Jasa Raharja, and Bapenda across Indonesia, so vehicle owners do not need to visit Samsat offices.
Wibowo explained that the revitalization of Ditregident is not just technological modernization but also a cultural shift in Polri's work practices to be more responsive, adaptive, and focused on service quality. "Polri's reform cannot be seen only from the law enforcement side, but also from how Polri provides services that ease the public. This Ditregident revitalization is a real example of the transformation in progress," he added.
This innovation supports Kakorlantas Inspector General Pol. Agus Suryonugroho's policy to accelerate digitalization of traffic services, including the development of E-BPKB and Digital ID Regident. With data integration and AI, validation, accuracy, and speed of traffic services will improve. "These two apps exemplify how Polri transforms conventional services into digital ones. Besides saving time, the digital system also reduces deviation potential, as all processes are recorded and can be transparently monitored," Wibowo stated.
