Lena Headey is blasting the shield around predatory men in Hollywood. The Game of Thrones actress opened up about power imbalances and her own past experiences.
Headey told the Daily Telegraph she gets angry at the "weird protection" offered to men with disproportionate power over vulnerable actresses. She added that one person can sour a job entirely when allowed to get away with it.
The 52-year-old praised the #MeToo movement for shifting attitudes since 2017. She noted younger women now declare they are "not f****** doing that" when facing uncomfortable demands.
Headey recalled her early career rite of passage involving unwanted intimacy on set. She accepted those situations because she was simply grateful to have a job.
So… has the industry truly changed, or are the protections still quietly in place?
