Levellers announce European tour for Levelling The Land's 35th anniversary

The Levellers have announced a European tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their second studio album, Levelling The Land. The tour will feature support from Neds Atomic Dustbin and The Meffs, starting in October.

The Levellers, known for their folk-rock sound, are marking a milestone with a series of European dates later this year. The tour commemorates the 35th anniversary of Levelling The Land, released in 1990 as their second studio album. Bassist Jeremy Cunningham expressed enthusiasm, stating, “We’re looking forward to getting out on the road and playing some of our favourite songs from that album – plus some other classics too.” He added, “We’ll see you there!”

The itinerary begins on October 16 in Köln at Live Music Hall, followed by shows in Maastricht at Muziekgieterij on October 17 and Leuven at Depot on October 18. The band then heads to the UK with a performance at Holmfirth Picturedrome on October 20 and 21. Subsequent stops include Belfast's Mandela Hall on October 22, Dublin's Vicar Street on October 23, and Glasgow's Barrowlands on October 24.

The tour continues in late October with York Barbican on October 29, Llandudno's Venue Cymru on October 30, and Blackpool's Empress Ballroom on October 31. In November, the Levellers will play Nottingham's Rock City on November 19, Bristol's Prospect Building on November 20, and conclude at London's Hammersmith Eventim Apollo on November 21.

Neds Atomic Dustbin and The Meffs are set to support throughout the run, adding to the celebratory vibe. This tour highlights the enduring appeal of Levelling The Land, which featured hits like "One Way" and solidified the band's place in the British music scene.
