Liam Gallagher criticized the halftime entertainment at the FIFA World Cup final, describing the performances as "like a bad trip." The Oasis singer shared his reaction on X after the show on Sunday night.
Liam Gallagher did not enjoy the halftime show during the final match of the FIFA World Cup on Sunday night. The Oasis singer, who has been vocal about the games, compared the performances by Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber, BTS, Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, and the Muppets to a "bad trip."
"This is like a bad trip," Gallagher wrote on X. "It’s a good job I’ve got my spiritual socks on or that halftime entertainment could have tipped me over the edge."
The show opened with Madonna performing in New York New Jersey Stadium tunnels alongside Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Other segments included BTS performing "Dynamite," Justin Bieber singing "Everything Hallelujah," and a song by Shakira and Burna Boy with Chris Martin of Coldplay.
Gallagher had supported England ahead of their semifinal loss, which led to the final between Argentina and Spain.
