Liv Morgan has recounted how frustration during her WWE name selection process led her to jokingly suggest Oprah as a ring name. The suggestion has since become a running backstage joke. She shared the story in an interview with The Early Bird Special.
Morgan explained that WWE offered her the choice between Liv Morgan and Liv Gallow. She submitted multiple lists of suggested names, all of which were rejected.
In the interview she said she grew frustrated and added a quip at the end of one email. "I would seriously love and be happy with any of these. Like, I'd even be happy being Oprah," Morgan recalled writing.
WWE declined the suggestion. Colleagues have continued to call her Oprah as a reminder of the moment.
Morgan noted that the exchange occurred via email, making her joking tone unclear to recipients.
